Q: Why do you recommend scroll frames and/or stretcher bars?
A: To keep work straighter, more visible, neater, and easier to finish!

Q: What length of thread do you recommend?
A: Our usual length is 18", but some threads need to be cut shorter, especially if they are delicate and tend to fray.

Q: How do you choose threads?
A: The mesh count (size) really dictates what threads will work best, also the stitch you will use. There are many different fibers available now.

Q: Do you have classes?
A: We prefer to work one to one mainly because most people stitch on different levels and are not able to meet at the same times.

Q: Do you have someone to paint custom designs on canvas?
A: Yes, we have several people, depending on subject matter, who do great custom designs.

Q: How long does it take to have something finished?
A: Depending on what the item is that needs finishing, pillow and pictures take approximately 4 weeks, Christmas stockings 6-8 weeks, belts, purses and shoes take longer.

Q: How do you clean needlepoint pieces?
A: We suggest washing your work in a solution of: a capful of Joy or liquid dish detergent, and a capful of white vinegar, and a dash of salt in tepid water - soak for a few minutes and rinse in cool water. Do not twist or wring. Let air dry on a towel.
